To you racing might mean beating your buddies to the top of the local climb on the weekly group ride. Or maybe it means taking pulls at crit practice week after week. Or maybe it simply means going for Personal Records on challenging segments. The bottom line is, we all have some sort of itch in us to go faster. Luckily, going faster doesn't have to involve dropping unfathomable amounts of green to do so. The Xenith Race comes from the same mold as Jamis's pro-level Xenith SL series, meaning you get the exact same race-tuned geometry that excels in the corners and cuts through the wind. The high modulus Dyad Ultra carbon fiber combines with tri-oval shaped top and down tubes equates to a graceful ride quality, that can turn and burn in a hurry. Whether you're jumping out of the saddle to punch it to the line or winding your way up a daunting mountain pass, the intensively detailed asymmetrical chainstays, forged one-piece dropouts, tapered head tube and full carbon hollow crown fork with stainless axle interfaces, all work seamlessly together to get you there faster with less energy exhausted. Augmenting the Xenith Race frame is Shimano's Ultegra 6700 component group, including the front and rear derailleurs, shifters, and cassette. The sought after Ultegra component system brings a highly-reliable blend of control, comfort, and functionality to a working man's price point. The Xenith Race employs a Shimano 105 Compact crankset to keep performance high, and the cost low. With Shimano clinging itself to a machine such as the Xenith Race bike, you might be hard pressed to find equal excitement elsewhere on the bike. That is until you notice the bountiful cockpit arrangement. Ritchey takes authority over the Race's cockpit with Comp Logic II handlebars and a Logic Comp 4-Axis stem. The Jamis branded carbon fiber seatpost is joined by a Selle San Marco Ponza Power Arrowhead saddle. Mavic provides is Aksium Race wheelset to give the Xenith Race a fresh set of sturdy legs and can gallop with the best of them. We like to think of the Xenith Race as a pro bike disguised in a club racer's kit.
