Zero RH + Power Stretch Jersey - $115.31

When innovation in cycling apparel begins to stagnate, we all turn our heads longingly to Italy. After all, it's in Italy that progressive fabrics, designs, and in the case of the Zero RH + Power Stretch Jersey, appliques are born. The body panels of the Power Stretch jersey were constructed with the Firedry Gold 100 fabric. Zero RH +'s Firedry is a system of materials made into four versions that are distinguished by different weights and stretch characteristics. As with all of the Firedry fabrics, the Gold is lightweight and breathes exceptionally well. It also incorporates highly-elastic fibers that support the body's muscle through a full range of motion. However, what sets the Gold 100 iteration apart from the other variants is its super-soft feel against the skin and added stretch. The front and rear torso panels were constructed with this fabric due to its ability to firmly hold your core muscles in place while riding. Zero RH + also targeted both sides of the spine and underarms with its Stretch Control appliques in order to create what Zero RH + calls a 'variable tension' over the entire jersey. Essentially, this means that the appliques envelop and support the torso's primary muscle groups without feeling constrictive. So, in essence, Zero RH + has solved the issue of compressive jerseys. If you've noticed, compressive shorts are quite en vogue, while compressive tops are nearly non-existent. The reason behind this is simple, as compressing the lungs of a road cyclists easily falls into the bad-idea-category. Now, Stretch Control subversively targets the areas in need of support, essentially, without your body even realizing that it's receiving support. The jersey's panels were joined together using a technique known as 'preformed anatomic construction.' This method of cutting the individual panels on a curve provides a comfortable, natural fit, especially in the crouched riding position. - $115.31
