Reynolds 29'er Alloy Wheelset - $675.00

Reynolds is known for its carbon fiber mastery, but they also excel with non-ferrous, metallic mediums as well. The 29'er Alloy wheel for example, mixes a light weight, stiffness, and strength into a package that's more accessible than some of the range topping carbon wheels. Like those carbon options, these wheels share the same smooth-rolling and fast-engaging Reynolds designed hubs as the carbon versions, but opt for Stans NoTubes Rims. They feature Bead Socket Technology to help prevent air burps and keep the tire from slipping on the rim during heavy braking. The rim has a 24mm width with a 21mm depth. The double butted spokes are a straight pull design, which eliminates a stress riser and allows for higher tension. There are 28 spokes per wheel and they are laced in a three cross pattern. For nipples, Reynolds uses tried and true alloy for reduced rotational weight. The hubs are constructed from aluminum and use cartridge bearings for smooth operation and long term durability. While the wheels should be plenty tough, all Reynolds wheel owners can buy themselves some extra peace of mind by purchasing Reynolds' two-year damage protection plan. It's called RAP, short for Reynolds Assurance Plan. The insurance means you should have little fear that a crash will ruin your wheel investment. Find out more about it on the Reynolds Cycling site. The Reynolds 29'er Alloy Wheelset comes with a set of tubeless-ready valves for tubeless tires. The wheels are for disc brakes only and come with mounts for six-bolt rotors. They come with end cap spacers for 142 x 12mm or 135 x 10mm, and 9mm, 15mm, or 20mm axles - $675.00
