Line Sir Francis Bacon Skis - Men's - 2012/2013 - $389.83

Go big in the Line Sir Francis Bacon skis. They offer agility that stands up to anything you throw at them. Ideal for advanced skiers who love fresh powder, the Bacons are also stiff enough to responsively handle variable terrain and big moves in the pipe. Designed by skier, artist and filmmaker Eric Pollard, the Line Sir Francis Bacon skis are his personal choice for versatility and fun. Core consists of light and strong maple wood stringers surrounded by aspen wood to provide power, stability and long-lasting responsiveness. Symmetrical flex pattern in the tip and tail allows responsive riding forward or backward. Tip and tail rocker floats high in backcountry powder whether skiing forward or switch; relatively low rise planes through powder instead of plowing up and over. Geometry of skis incorporates 5 different turn radii to create effortless turn initiation with solid edge hold and responsive exits. Widest points of the tip and tail are close to the center of the ski, reducing tail drag and hooking in powder. You'll notice the grippy feel of these skis on hardpack thanks to the extended length of the edges. Thin core and sidewall in the tips reduce weight and make skis easier to control. P-tex plastic sidewalls isolate vibrations, offering high-end damping characteristics. Steel edges seamlessly wrap around the entire tip, delivering superior carving and long-lasting performance. Increased thickness of a standard base and edges adds significant durability and impact resistance, and it lets you tune your skis many times throughout the season. High-quality sintered base retains wax and glides easily over snow. Base or topsheet color may vary from online photo. Requires bindings with wide brakes. - $389.83
